Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse on our team, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and personalized care to our patients.   1. Provide compassionate care: As an LPN at DaVita Kidney Care, your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate and personalized care to our patients with kidney disease. This includes being understanding, empathetic and attentive to their physical and emotional needs.
  2. Ensure patient safety: It will be your responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients at all times. This includes closely monitoring their condition, administering medications, and following proper protocols to prevent infection.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare team: You will work closely with other members of the healthcare team including physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively will be crucial in providing quality care.
  4. Perform nursing procedures: As an LPN, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nursing procedures such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing wound care. You must have a thorough understanding of nursing protocols and be able to perform these procedures accurately and safely.
  5. Educate patients and their families: Educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques will be an important part of your role. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner.
  6. Maintain accurate records: Accurate record-keeping is essential in healthcare. You will be responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate patient records, documenting all procedures, treatments, and medications administered.
  7. Adhere to regulations and ethical standards: It is your responsibility to adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as ethical and professional standards of nursing practice. This includes maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the highest level of integrity and ethical conduct.
  8. Continuously improve patient care: We are committed to continuously improving the quality of care we provide to our patients. As an LPN, you will be expected to actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggest improvements, and implement evidence-based practices

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A State-Approved Licensed Practical Nurse (Lpn) Program.

  • Current And Valid Lpn License In The State Where The Position Is Located.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Nephrology Or Dialysis.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, And The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
