Strong Understanding Of Value-Based Payment Models: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Different Value-Based Payment Models And Their Implications For Both Payors And Providers. This Includes Knowledge Of Medicare Advantage, Accountable Care Organizations, And Other Value-Based Arrangements.
Experience In Payor Contracting: The Director Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successful Payor Contracting, Specifically In Negotiating Value-Based Contracts. This Includes Experience In Developing And Maintaining Relationships With Payors, As Well As Analyzing Contract Performance And Making Recommendations For Improvement.
