- Assist in the treatment and care of patients undergoing dialysis.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Set up and operate dialysis machines, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Document patient information and treatment records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and stocked.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Continuously monitor and assess patients' response to treatment, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising nurse.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new developments in the field.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during the dialysis process.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and overall quality of care.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged
Completion Of A Certified Dialysis Technician Training Program
Valid Certification As A Dialysis Technician By A Nationally Recognized Organization Such As The National Nephrology Certification Organization (Nnco) Or The Board Of Nephrology Examiners Nursing And Technology (Bonent)
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working In A Dialysis Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Kidney Disease And Treatment Options, As Well As Understanding Of Equipment And Procedures Used In Dialysis Treatment.
