- Perform dialysis treatments according to established protocols and procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids as directed by the healthcare team.
- Document accurate and timely patient information, including treatment progress and any changes in condition.
- Educate patients and their families on dialysis procedures, self-care techniques, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Assist with patient transportation and positioning during treatments.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed on best practices and new developments in dialysis care.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during and after treatments.
- Follow HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to patient care, safety, and compliance.
- Continuously improve technical skills and stay updated on industry advancements and changes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Certified Hemodialysis Technician (Cht) Or Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (Ccht) Credential From A Nationally Recognized Organization Such As The Board Of Nephrology Examiners Nursing And Technology (Bonent) Or The National Nephrology Certification Organization (Nnco).
Minimum Of One Year Of Experience Working As A Dialysis Technician In A Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Dialysis Equipment And Procedures, Including Setting Up And Operating The Dialysis Machine, Monitoring Patients During Treatment, And Recognizing Potential Complications.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Adhering To Strict Safety Protocols And Infection Control Measures.
