- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their overall condition before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
- Prepare and set up dialysis equipment, including machines, supplies, and medications, according to established protocols.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the physician or supervising nurse.
- Monitor and adjust dialysis equipment settings to ensure proper function and patient comfort.
- Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, equipment, and self-care techniques.
- Document patient information and treatment data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized dialysis environment, including disinfecting equipment and work areas.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families throughout the dialysis process.
- Proactively identify and report any changes in patients' condition to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission and values in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations in regards to patient information.
Certified Hemodialysis Technician (Cht) Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The National Nephrology Certification Organization (Nnco) Or The Board Of Nephrology Examiners Nursing And Technology (Bonent).
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working As A Dialysis Technician In A Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Hemodialysis Procedures, Equipment, And Safety Protocols.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment, Demonstrating Adaptability And Flexibility In Responding To Changing Patient Needs And Priorities.
