
Dialysis Technician

- Perform dialysis treatments: As a Dialysis Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating dialysis machines, monitoring patients during treatment, and ensuring proper disposal and sterilization of equipment.
- Monitor patient progress: You will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, weight, and overall condition before, during, and after dialysis treatments. This includes documenting and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
- Provide patient education: It will be your responsibility to educate patients and their families on kidney disease, the dialysis process, and self-care techniques to improve their overall health.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment: You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized treatment area, adhering to infection control protocols, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: As a Dialysis Technician, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Ensure accuracy of medical records: You will be responsible for accurately recording and updating patient charts, treatment information, and other essential medical records.
- Adhere to regulations and policies: You will be expected to follow all federal, state, and company regulations and policies to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.

Education And Training: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, Along With Completion Of A Certified Dialysis Technician Program. Additional Education Or Training In Areas Such As Biology, Anatomy, And Patient Care Is Preferred.
Certification: Candidates Must Hold A Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The Board Of Nephrology Examiners Nursing And Technology (Bonent) Or The National Nephrology Certification Organization (Nnco).
Experience: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Dialysis, Is Preferred. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Infection Control, And Patient Care.
Technical Skills: Dialysis Technicians Must Possess Strong Technical Skills, Including The Ability To Operate And Troubleshoot Dialysis Equipment, Monitor Patient Vital Signs, And Maintain Accurate Records.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For A Dialysis Technician. The Ability To Build Trust And Rapport With Patients, Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Team Members, And Provide Compassionate Care Is Essential.
