- Conduct dialysis treatments for patients with kidney disease in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Prepare and maintain dialysis equipment according to established protocols.
- Perform routine tasks such as taking patient's weight and vital signs, collecting blood samples, and recording patient information accurately.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during dialysis treatments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on advancements in dialysis technology and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal care and patient satisfaction.
Certified Hemodialysis Technician (Cht) Credential From A Recognized Accrediting Agency Such As The National Nephrology Certification Organization (Nnco) Or Board Of Nephrology Examiners Nursing And Technology (Bonent)
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Dialysis Center Or Hospital
Knowledge Of Dialysis Equipment And Procedures, Including Water Treatment Systems And Dialysis Machine Setup And Maintenance
Strong Understanding Of Infection Control And Safety Protocols Related To Dialysis Treatment
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Healthcare Team Members.
