Dialysis Support Technician

The successful candidate will have the ability to work with a variety of medical equipment, monitor patient progress, and provide patient education.A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Prior experience in dialysis, medical, or related field is preferred. The ability to read, write, and speak English is essential. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor patients’ progress and provide patient education.
2. Operate and maintain dialysis equipment.
3. Assist with dressing, pre-dialysis and post-dialysis care.
4. Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, venipuncture and cannulation.
5. Assist nursing staff with patient care needs.
6. Maintain accurate records of patient care procedures.
7. Perform laboratory tests and interpret results.
8. Monitor dialysis treatments and adjust dialysis machine settings as necessary.
9. Educate patients and families about dialysis treatments.
10. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
11. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
12. Demonstrate commitment to DaVita core values.
