- Accurately and consistently document patient care in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify and address any gaps in documentation.
- Monitor and analyze clinical documentation to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process changes.
- Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations to maximize reimbursement for the organization.
- Educate and train healthcare providers on effective documentation practices and standards.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical and administrative teams to facilitate efficient and accurate documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to clinical documentation.
- Identify and address potential documentation errors or discrepancies to prevent billing and coding delays.

Advanced Degree: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field Is Required For This Role. This Demonstrates A High Level Of Education And Specialized Knowledge In The Healthcare Field.
Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification: This Certification Shows A Strong Understanding Of Coding Principles And Guidelines, Which Is Essential For Accurate And Thorough Clinical Documentation.
Clinical Experience: Previous Clinical Experience As An Advanced Practice Provider, Such As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant, Is Required For This Role. This Experience Provides A Strong Foundation In Patient Care And Understanding Of Medical Terminology.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Guidelines: Familiarity With Healthcare Regulations And Guidelines, Such As Medicare And Medicaid Documentation Requirements, Is Crucial For Ensuring Compliance And Accuracy In Clinical Documentation.
