Job Description

We are currently seeking a Director of Inclusive Faculty Affairs to join our team and lead our efforts in creating a more equitable and inclusive environment for all faculty members.   1. Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity and inclusion within the faculty community at Dartmouth College.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to create a more equitable and inclusive environment for all faculty members.
  3. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Serve as a resource and advisor for faculty members on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  5. Lead and facilitate trainings and workshops on topics such as cultural competency, unconscious bias, and inclusive teaching practices.
  6. Develop and maintain connections with external organizations and networks to stay updated on best practices and resources in diversity and inclusion.
  7. Create and oversee initiatives to recruit and retain a diverse faculty body.
  8. Work closely with the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity to ensure alignment with the overall diversity and inclusion goals of the college.
  9. Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure inclusive hiring and retention practices for faculty.
  10. Serve as a liaison between faculty members and the administration to address any concerns related to diversity and inclusion.
  11. Stay informed on current issues and trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education and provide recommendations for action to the administration.
  12. Serve on committees and task forces related to diversity and inclusion, and provide expertise and guidance.
  13. Represent Dartmouth College at conferences and events related to diversity and inclusion in higher education.
  14. Communicate regularly with faculty and staff to promote awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  15. Maintain and update policies and procedures related to faculty diversity and inclusion.
  16. Monitor and track progress towards diversity and inclusion goals and report to the administration regularly.
  17. Manage and allocate resources to support diversity and inclusion initiatives for faculty members.
  18. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all faculty members, including providing support and resources for marginalized and underrepresented groups.
  19. Conduct research and analysis to inform diversity and inclusion strategies and initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Issues And Best Practices In Faculty Diversity And Inclusion.

  • Experience Developing And Implementing Strategic Initiatives To Promote Diversity And Inclusion Within A Faculty Community.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, And Students.
