- Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity and inclusion within the faculty community at Dartmouth College.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to create a more equitable and inclusive environment for all faculty members.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Serve as a resource and advisor for faculty members on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Lead and facilitate trainings and workshops on topics such as cultural competency, unconscious bias, and inclusive teaching practices.
- Develop and maintain connections with external organizations and networks to stay updated on best practices and resources in diversity and inclusion.
- Create and oversee initiatives to recruit and retain a diverse faculty body.
- Work closely with the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity to ensure alignment with the overall diversity and inclusion goals of the college.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure inclusive hiring and retention practices for faculty.
- Serve as a liaison between faculty members and the administration to address any concerns related to diversity and inclusion.
- Stay informed on current issues and trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education and provide recommendations for action to the administration.
- Serve on committees and task forces related to diversity and inclusion, and provide expertise and guidance.
- Represent Dartmouth College at conferences and events related to diversity and inclusion in higher education.
- Communicate regularly with faculty and staff to promote awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Maintain and update policies and procedures related to faculty diversity and inclusion.
- Monitor and track progress towards diversity and inclusion goals and report to the administration regularly.
- Manage and allocate resources to support diversity and inclusion initiatives for faculty members.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all faculty members, including providing support and resources for marginalized and underrepresented groups.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform diversity and inclusion strategies and initiatives.
- Serve as a role model for inclusive behavior and promote a culture of
Advanced Degree In Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion In A Higher Education Setting.
Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Issues And Best Practices In Faculty Diversity And Inclusion.
Experience Developing And Implementing Strategic Initiatives To Promote Diversity And Inclusion Within A Faculty Community.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, And Students.
