- Develop and implement a comprehensive media strategy for the athletics department, including social media, traditional media, and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all media channels.
- Create and maintain relationships with media outlets and influencers to increase coverage and exposure for the athletics department.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in media strategy and branding to continuously improve the department's presence and image.
- Develop and manage a budget for media and branding initiatives.
- Work closely with coaches and student-athletes to identify and promote compelling stories and achievements to enhance the department's brand.
- Oversee the production of multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and written materials, to engage and inform audiences.
- Coordinate and execute media events and press conferences.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media engagement to track the effectiveness of the department's media strategy and make necessary adjustments.
- Serve as a liaison between the athletics department and the broader college community to ensure alignment of messaging and branding.
- Manage and mentor a team of media and branding professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals and contribute to the overall success of the department.
- Represent the athletics department at various conferences, meetings, and events to promote the brand and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Uphold the values and mission of Dartmouth College and its athletics department in all media and branding efforts.
Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Marketing, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Media Strategy And Brand Advancement Within The Athletics Industry
Strong Understanding Of Social Media Platforms And Digital Marketing Strategies
Demonstrated Success In Developing And Executing High-Impact Marketing Campaigns
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Including Coaches, Athletes, And Media Partners.
