  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive media strategy for the athletics department, including social media, traditional media, and other digital platforms.
  2. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all media channels.
  3. Create and maintain relationships with media outlets and influencers to increase coverage and exposure for the athletics department.
  4. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in media strategy and branding to continuously improve the department's presence and image.
  5. Develop and manage a budget for media and branding initiatives.
  6. Work closely with coaches and student-athletes to identify and promote compelling stories and achievements to enhance the department's brand.
  7. Oversee the production of multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and written materials, to engage and inform audiences.
  8. Coordinate and execute media events and press conferences.
  9. Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media engagement to track the effectiveness of the department's media strategy and make necessary adjustments.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the athletics department and the broader college community to ensure alignment of messaging and branding.
  11. Manage and mentor a team of media and branding professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  12. Represent the athletics department at various conferences, meetings, and events to promote the brand and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  13. Uphold the values and mission of Dartmouth College and its athletics department in all media and branding efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Marketing, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Media Strategy And Brand Advancement Within The Athletics Industry

  • Strong Understanding Of Social Media Platforms And Digital Marketing Strategies

  • Demonstrated Success In Developing And Executing High-Impact Marketing Campaigns

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Including Coaches, Athletes, And Media Partners.
