Cyber Security Engineer

Our ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in the security field and has a desire to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies.You should have a strong understanding of cyber security principles and technologies, including but not limited to network security, encryption, authentication, and security monitoring. You will be responsible for designing and implementing security measures to protect our systems, networks, and data from malicious attacks. You must be an excellent communicator with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field and at least five years of experience in a similar role. In addition, you should have experience with security tools such as firewalls, web application firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. Experience with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell is a plus. Certification such as CISSP, CCSP, or CISM is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement security measures to protect systems, networks, and data from malicious attacks.
2. Monitor and analyze security systems to identify potential threats.
3. Analyze network traffic to detect and prevent malicious activity.
4. Research and recommend security enhancements to stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies.
5. Maintain a detailed log of security events, such as firewall changes and intrusion attempts.
6. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards.
7. Manage security tools such as firewalls, web application firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
8. Troubleshoot security issues and provide solutions.
9. Assist with other projects as needed.
10. Train and mentor other team members on cyber security best practices.
