- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue and meet sales targets in the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
- Promote the Cummins brand and its products and services to customers through effective communication and presentations.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure a coordinated approach to sales activities.
- Use CRM software to track and manage customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline.
- Plan and organize sales visits, customer meetings, and events to maximize sales opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales proposals and negotiate contracts with customers.
- Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, progress, and achievements to management.
- Continuously develop product knowledge and stay updated on industry developments to effectively promote and sell Cummins products and services.
- Represent Cummins in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Continuously seek out new business opportunities and proactively identify potential customers.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customers' businesses, including their goals, challenges, and needs.
- Travel within the assigned territory to meet with customers and attend industry events, as necessary.
- Act as a mentor and coach to junior sales team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
Proven Sales Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Track Record Of Success In Sales, Preferably In A Field Sales Or Territory Sales Role. This Includes A Demonstrated Ability To Meet And Exceed Sales Targets And Quotas.
Technical Knowledge: A Strong Understanding Of Cummins Products And Services Is Essential For This Role, As Well As A General Knowledge Of The Industry And Market. This Will Allow The Candidate To Effectively Communicate The Value And Benefits Of Cummins’ Offerings To Potential Customers.
Territory Management Skills: As A Territory Sales Account Executive, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Specific Geographic Area And Developing Relationships With Customers Within That Region. Therefore, Strong Territory Management Skills, Including The Ability To Identify And Prioritize Sales Opportunities, Are A Must.
Relationship Building Abilities: This Role Requires A Candidate Who Excels At Building And Maintaining Relationships With Both New And Existing Customers.
