Job Description

We are currently seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team as Structural, Dynamic and Acoustic Systems Summer Interns. As an intern in this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of structural, dynamic, and acoustic systems.   1. Collaborate with the engineering team to support the design, development, and testing of structural, dynamic, and acoustic systems.
  2. Assist with the creation of engineering models and simulations to analyze and optimize system performance.
  3. Conduct research and gather data to support the development of new products and technologies.
  4. Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements or modifications.
  5. Help with the implementation and testing of prototypes and assist with troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  6. Support the documentation and organization of project materials, including technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
  7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in the field of structural, dynamic, and acoustic systems.
  9. Communicate regularly with team members and supervisors to provide updates on project progress and seek guidance when needed.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  11. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements.
  12. Represent Cummins in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Structural, Dynamic, And Acoustic Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Structural Analysis, Dynamics, And Acoustics Principles And Their Application In Engineering Systems.

  • Educational Background: A Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field With A Focus On Structural, Dynamic, And Acoustic Systems Is Preferred. Candidates Pursuing A Graduate Degree In These Areas Will Also Be Considered.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency In Engineering Software Such As Ansys, Abaqus, And Matlab Is Required. Experience With Noise And Vibration Testing Equipment Is Also Desired.

  • Communication And Teamwork: The Ability To Effectively Communicate Technical Information And Work Collaboratively In A Team Environment Is Essential For This Role.

  • Problem-Solving And Analytical Thinking: The Internship Will Involve Solving Complex Engineering Problems And Developing Innovative Solutions. Strong Analytical Skills And The Ability To Think Critically Are Necessary For Success In This Position.
