  1. Lead and oversee the development and execution of Vehicle Performance Innovation (VPI) programs, ensuring alignment with company objectives and strategic goals.
  2. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for VPI programs, and monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement in program performance.
  4. Serve as the main point of contact for key stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  5. Utilize strong technical expertise to guide the development of cutting-edge technologies and drive innovation in sustainable transportation.
  6. Monitor and analyze program performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  7. Ensure the highest level of quality in all aspects of program development and execution, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  8. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  9. Foster relationships with external partners, suppliers, and customers to enhance program success and expand business opportunities.
  10. Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to inform program strategy and drive future success.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Program Management: A Senior Vpi Program Manager At Cummins Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Leading And Managing Large-Scale Programs, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Engineering Environment. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Delivering Projects On Time, Within Budget, And To The Desired Quality Standards.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Senior Position, The Vpi Program Manager Should Possess Excellent Leadership Skills To Guide And Motivate Their Team Towards Achieving Project Goals. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks Effectively, Resolve Conflicts, And Make Tough Decisions When Necessary.

  • Technical Expertise: Candidates Should Have A Strong Technical Background, Preferably In Mechanical Or Electrical Engineering, To Understand The Complexities Of Cummins' Products And Processes. This Knowledge Will Be Crucial In Identifying Potential Risks And Providing Innovative Solutions To Overcome Them.

  • Project Management Certification: A Senior Vpi Program Manager Should Hold A Project Management Professional (Pmp) Certification Or An Equivalent Qualification. This Demonstrates Their Understanding And Application Of Industry-Standard Project Management Methodologies, Tools, And Techniques.

  • Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills: The Role Of A Senior Vpi Program Manager Involves Interacting With Various Stakeholders, Both Internally And Externally.
