- Develop and implement a comprehensive battery sourcing strategy for Cummins Batteries division.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and offerings.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and quality for Cummins.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand battery requirements and develop sourcing plans to meet those needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential partners.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations in all sourcing activities.
- Continuously seek out innovative and sustainable sourcing solutions to drive business growth.
- Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts to stay informed about new developments and best practices in battery sourcing.
- Mentor and guide junior sourcing professionals to ensure the team's success in achieving sourcing goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and drive supplier performance metrics and improvement plans.
- Prepare and present reports and updates on battery sourcing strategy and performance to senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in battery technology to inform sourcing decisions.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the sourcing function.
- Ensure all sourcing activities are in line with Cummins' sustainability goals and initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Business, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Sourcing And Procurement, Preferably In The Battery Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Battery Technology And Market Trends.
Demonstrated Experience In Negotiating Contracts And Managing Supplier Relationships.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Cross-Functionally And Lead A Team.
