Job Description

Our Scrum Masters play a crucial role in facilitating the adoption and execution of Scrum practices within our organization. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for coaching and guiding multiple Scrum teams towards successful delivery of our products and services.   1. Facilitate Scrum practices and ceremonies: As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for multiple Scrum teams. This includes ensuring that all team members understand the purpose and goals of each ceremony and that they are conducted effectively.
  2. Coach and mentor Scrum teams: You will be responsible for coaching and guiding Scrum teams to ensure that they follow Scrum principles and practices. This includes providing guidance and support to team members, identifying and addressing any obstacles or issues, and promoting continuous improvement.
  3. Promote a culture of collaboration: In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a collaborative work environment where team members are encouraged to work together, share knowledge, and communicate openly. You will also facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  4. Monitor and track team progress: You will be responsible for monitoring the progress of Scrum teams and ensuring that they are meeting their sprint goals and delivering high-quality products and services. This includes tracking team velocity, identifying and addressing any roadblocks, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  5. Remove impediments: As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for identifying and removing any obstacles or impediments that may prevent the team from delivering value. This includes working with stakeholders and other teams to resolve issues and ensuring that the team has the necessary resources and support to complete their work.
  6. Promote continuous improvement: You will be responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. This includes encouraging the team to reflect on their processes and practices, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master: A Scrum Master At Cummins Must Have A Valid Scrum Master Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As Scrum Alliance Or Scrum.org.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Agile Methodologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Agile Principles And Methodologies, Including Scrum, Kanban, And Lean.

  • Excellent Communication And Facilitation Skills: As A Scrum Master, You Will Be Responsible For Facilitating Team Meetings And Promoting Effective Communication. Therefore, Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are A Must.

  • Experience In A Similar Role: Cummins Prefers Candidates With At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Scrum Master Or In A Similar Role In An Agile Environment.

  • Leadership And Coaching Abilities: A Scrum Master Should Be Able To Lead By Example, Guide The Team Towards Self-Organization, And Coach Team Members On Agile Best Practices. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Coaching Skills Are Essential For This Role.
