- Implement and maintain quality management systems in accordance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to quality processes, including standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Train employees on quality management systems and provide ongoing support to ensure understanding and adherence.
- Analyze data and trends to identify potential quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that quality standards are met for incoming materials.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new product quality plans.
- Assist with customer and regulatory audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to any inquiries.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to ensure continuous improvement of quality systems.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and understanding of quality objectives.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to provide updates on quality systems and address any concerns or issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality standards are met at all stages of the manufacturing process.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any quality issues that arise.
Knowledge Of Quality Management Systems: A Quality Systems Technician At Cummins Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Quality Management Systems, Such As Iso 9001 And Six Sigma, And Be Able To Apply Them Effectively In A Manufacturing Environment.
Experience With Quality Assurance Processes: Candidates Should Have Experience With Quality Assurance Processes, Such As Conducting Audits And Root Cause Analysis, To Identify And Resolve Quality Issues.
Strong Analytical Skills: The Ability To Collect, Analyze And Interpret Data Is Essential For A Quality Systems Technician. They Should Be Able To Use Statistical Tools And Software To Identify Trends, Perform Data Analysis, And Make Data-Driven Decisions To Improve Product Quality.
