  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues to identify and implement effective solutions.
  3. Conduct thorough inspections and testing of equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
  4. Utilize advanced tools and techniques to perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts and labor usage.
  7. Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and develop proactive maintenance plans.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  9. Stay updated with industry developments and advancements in mechanical maintenance techniques.
  10. Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge in mechanical maintenance.
  11. Communicate effectively with other departments and stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
  12. Participate in meetings and discussions to provide insights and recommendations for improving equipment reliability and performance.
  13. Comply with all company policies and regulations related to mechanical maintenance and safety.
  14. Take initiative to identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  15. Represent Cummins in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Mechanical Systems: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Mechanical Systems, Including Engines, Power Transmission, And Hydraulics. They Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Repair Complex Mechanical Issues Efficiently And Effectively.

  • Experience With Maintenance Software: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Using Maintenance Software Such As Sap Or Cmms To Track And Manage Maintenance Activities And Schedules. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Preventive Maintenance Practices.

  • Strong Communication Skills: A Level Iv Mechanical Maintenance Technician At Cummins Must Frequently Communicate With Other Team Members, Clients, And Vendors. Therefore, Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Leadership And Teamwork Abilities: As A Senior Member Of The Maintenance Team, The Level Iv Technician Must Demonstrate Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment. They Should Also Be Able To Mentor And Train Junior Technicians.

  • Safety Oriented: Cummins Places A Significant Emphasis On Safety In The Workplace. The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Commitment To Safety Practices And Be Knowledgeable About Osha Regulations And Guidelines. They Should Also Have Experience With Safety Programs And Procedures.
