- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to determine root cause and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
- Proactively identify potential equipment issues and address them before they become major problems.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: This Is The Minimum Educational Requirement For A Mechanical Maintenance - Level I Position At Cummins. A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Demonstrates The Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Necessary To Perform The Job Duties.
Technical Or Vocational Training: A Technical Or Vocational Training Program Related To Mechanical Maintenance Is Highly Desirable For This Position. Such Training Will Provide Candidates With The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Troubleshoot And Repair Mechanical Equipment.
Prior Experience In Mechanical Maintenance: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In Mechanical Maintenance, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting. This Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Equipment And Processes Used At Cummins.
Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: Mechanical Maintenance Involves Working With Heavy Equipment And Potentially Hazardous Materials. Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Must Be Able To Follow Them At All Times To Ensure A Safe Working Environment.
Basic Computer Skills: In Today’s Digital Age, Mechanical Maintenance Also Involves Using Computer Programs For Equipment Diagnostics And Maintenance Tracking. A Basic Understanding Of Computer Programs Such As Microsoft Excel And Word Is Necessary For This Position.
