This internship will provide hands-on experience in all aspects of our supply chain operations, from planning and procurement to logistics and inventory management.   1. Collaborate with supply chain team to support procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
  2. Assist with supply chain planning and forecasting to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials and products.
  3. Participate in inventory management and optimization initiatives to improve cost-efficiency and reduce waste.
  4. Contribute to logistics operations, including coordinating shipments and tracking inventory levels.
  5. Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for supply chain improvement and cost savings.
  6. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure alignment and optimize supply chain processes.
  7. Actively seek opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations for implementation.
  8. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in supply chain management.
  9. Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As An Intern In The Integrated Supply Chain Department At Cummins, You Will Be Expected To Analyze Complex Data And Identify Areas For Improvement In The Supply Chain Process. You Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Effectively Evaluate The Data And Propose Solutions.

  • Knowledge Of Supply Chain Management Principles: A Basic Understanding Of Supply Chain Management Principles Is Necessary For This Internship. This Includes Knowledge Of Inventory Management, Logistics, And Procurement Processes.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Data Analysis Tools: As An Integrated Supply Chain Intern, You Will Be Working With Large Sets Of Data. Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Data Analysis Tools Is Essential To Effectively Analyze And Present The Data.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: This Internship Will Require You To Collaborate With Different Teams And Departments Within The Company. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Crucial To Effectively Work With Others And Achieve Common Goals.
