As a Level II technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing power generation equipment for our valued customers.   1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on power generation equipment for customers.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with power generation equipment.
  3. Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly and identify any potential problems.
  4. Maintain accurate records of service and repair work performed on each piece of equipment.
  5. Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on service requests and address any concerns.
  6. Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of service requests.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in power generation technology to provide the best service to customers.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working on power generation equipment.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with customers.
  10. Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
  11. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  12. Travel to customer locations to perform on-site repairs and maintenance as necessary.
  13. Keep work area clean and organized, and maintain inventory of necessary tools and equipment.
  14. Report any unusual or significant findings during service or repair work to management.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: A Field Service Power Generation Technician - Level Ii At Cummins Must Possess In-Depth Knowledge Of Power Generation Equipment, Including Diesel And Natural Gas Engines, Generators, And Control Systems. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Electrical And Mechanical Systems.

  • Troubleshooting Skills: The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues Is Crucial For This Role. A Level Ii Technician Should Have Experience In Troubleshooting Power Generation Equipment And Be Able To Diagnose And Repair Problems Efficiently.

  • Certifications: Cummins Requires Its Field Service Power Generation Technicians To Have Relevant Certifications, Such As A Technical Diploma Or Trade Certification In A Related Field, As Well As Any Specific Certifications For Power Generation Equipment.

  • Safety Mindset: Working With Power Generation Equipment Can Be Hazardous, And It Is Essential For A Level Ii Technician To Have A Strong Safety Mindset. They Should Be Familiar With Safety Protocols And Procedures And Follow Them Diligently In All Aspects Of Their Work.
