- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for Cummins power generation equipment
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify and troubleshoot technical issues
- Utilize technical knowledge and experience to provide efficient and effective solutions for customer needs
- Collaborate with team members and communicate with customers to ensure timely and accurate completion of service requests
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of service activities
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities
- Represent Cummins in a professional and positive manner when interacting with customers
- Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients
- Travel to customer locations as required to provide on-site support and services
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Technical Expertise: A Field Service Power Generation Technician At Cummins Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Power Generation Systems, Including Diesel And Natural Gas Engines, Generators, And Associated Electrical And Mechanical Components.
Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Field Service Technician, One Must Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues With Power Generation Equipment, Often In High-Pressure Situations.
Customer Service Experience: This Role Involves Interacting With Customers On A Regular Basis, So Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential. Previous Experience In A Customer-Facing Role Is Highly Desirable.
Physical Fitness And Mechanical Aptitude: This Job Requires Working In A Variety Of Environments, Including Outdoor And Industrial Settings, Often In Physically Demanding Conditions. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Possess Strong Mechanical Skills.
