Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Diesel Engines And Related Systems: A Field Service Diesel Technician At Cummins Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Diesel Engines, Including Their Components, Operation, And Maintenance. This Includes Knowledge Of Fuel Systems, Cooling Systems, Electrical Systems, And Emissions Control Systems.

  • Experience With Diagnostics And Troubleshooting: Cummins Field Service Diesel Technicians Must Be Skilled In Diagnosing And Troubleshooting Engine Issues. This Requires A Strong Understanding Of Diagnostic Tools And Software, As Well As The Ability To Interpret Diagnostic Codes And Data.

  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude: As A Field Service Diesel Technician, One Must Possess Excellent Mechanical Skills And Be Able To Use A Wide Range Of Tools And Equipment To Service And Repair Diesel Engines. This Includes The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Diagrams.

  • Customer Service And Communication Skills: A Key Aspect Of The Job Is Interacting With Customers, So Excellent Customer Service And Communication Skills Are Essential. This Includes The Ability To Explain Complex Technical Concepts In A Clear And Understandable Manner.
