  1. Perform on-site repairs and maintenance on diesel engines in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot engine issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance of diesel engines.
  4. Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
  5. Keep detailed records of all repairs, maintenance, and services performed.
  6. Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve complex technical issues.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and training to continuously improve technical skills.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  9. Represent Cummins in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  10. Travel to customer locations and work in varying environments and conditions.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge And Experience With Diesel Engines: A Field Service Diesel Technician At Cummins Must Possess A Strong Understanding Of Diesel Engine Systems, Including Troubleshooting, Maintenance, And Repairs.

  • Technical Training And Certifications: To Be Considered For This Role, Candidates Should Have Completed A Technical Training Program Related To Diesel Engines And Possess Relevant Certifications Such As Ase Or Oem Certifications.

  • Experience In Field Service: This Position Requires Candidates To Have Prior Experience In Field Service Work, Preferably In The Diesel Engine Industry. This Includes Working In Remote Locations, Performing On-Site Repairs, And Managing Customer Relationships.

  • Strong Diagnostic And Problem-Solving Skills: A Successful Field Service Diesel Technician Must Have Excellent Diagnostic And Problem-Solving Abilities To Identify And Resolve Complex Issues With Diesel Engines In A Timely And Efficient Manner.

  • Customer Service And Communication Skills: As The Primary Point Of Contact For Customers, A Field Service Diesel Technician Must Possess Strong Customer Service And Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Clients, Understand Their Needs, And Provide Timely Updates On Service Work.
