Job Description

Welcome to Cummins, a global leader in power generation, engine and component manufacturing, and distribution. We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our Electronic Systems team as a Co-Op. As a Co-Op, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the development and improvement of our electronic systems. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about technology, has a strong academic background, and is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic and collaborative environment.   1. Collaborate with experienced engineers to assist in the development, testing, and improvement of electronic systems.
  2. Participate in hands-on projects to gain practical experience and apply theoretical knowledge.
  3. Conduct research and analysis to support the team in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  4. Assist in the design and implementation of new electronic systems, as well as modifications to existing systems.
  5. Follow established processes and procedures to ensure quality and efficiency in all tasks.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of project progress, test results, and other relevant data.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electronic systems technology.
  9. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvement.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in all tasks and projects.
  11. Embody the company's values and maintain a professional attitude and work ethic at all times.
  12. Continuously strive to learn and grow professionally through training, mentorship, and self-directed learning opportunities.
  13. Collaborate with other co-ops and team members on group projects and assignments.
  14. Take ownership of assigned tasks and demonstrate a strong sense of accountability.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Technical Background: Candidates For This Co-Op Position Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Electronic Systems, Including Experience With Troubleshooting, Repairing, And Maintaining Various Electronic Components And Systems.

  • Knowledge Of Cummins Products: A Familiarity With Cummins Products And Systems Is Highly Desirable For This Position. Candidates Should Have A Working Knowledge Of The Company's Electronic Systems And How They Are Integrated Into Cummins Engines And Other Products.

  • Team Player: The Ability To Work Collaboratively As Part Of A Team Is Essential For Success In This Role. Co-Op Students Will Work Closely With Experienced Technicians And Engineers, So The Ability To Communicate And Work Well With Others Is Crucial.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Nature Of This Role Requires Individuals Who Are Able To Think Critically And Solve Complex Technical Problems. Candidates Should Have A Strong Aptitude For Troubleshooting And The Ability To Analyze Data And Make Informed Decisions.
