  1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, utilizing problem-solving skills to develop effective solutions.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any necessary repairs or replacements.
  6. Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  8. Communicate effectively with production and management teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production.
  9. Continuously seek out ways to improve maintenance processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  10. Stay informed about new technologies and equipment in the industry to make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
  11. Train and mentor new maintenance team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team capabilities.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  13. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting production goals and deadlines.

Job Qualifications

  • Mechanical Maintenance Experience: Previous Experience In Mechanical Maintenance, Specifically In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting, Is Essential For This Role. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of Mechanical Systems And Troubleshooting Techniques.

  • Knowledge Of Dwu Systems: A Strong Understanding Of Diesel/Water/Urea (Dwu) Systems Is A Must For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Various Components Such As Pumps, Valves, Filters, And Coolers, As Well As The Ability To Diagnose And Repair Issues With These Systems.

  • Electrical Skills: While The Main Focus Of This Role Is Mechanical Maintenance, A Basic Understanding Of Electrical Systems Is Also Required. This Includes The Ability To Read Schematics And Perform Basic Electrical Troubleshooting.

  • Teamwork And Communication: As A Support Specialist, The Ability To Work Well In A Team And Communicate Effectively With Other Team Members And Departments Is Crucial. This Includes Being Able To Collaborate On Projects, Share Knowledge And Information, And Provide Updates On Maintenance Activities.

  • Safety Consciousness: Cummins Puts A Strong Emphasis On Safety In All Aspects Of Its Operations. As Such, A Qualification For This Role Would Be A Strong Commitment To Adhering To Safety Protocols And Procedures, As Well As The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Potential Safety Hazards In The Workplace.
