  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines in accordance with company and manufacturer guidelines.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot engine issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  3. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all service requests.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities.
  5. Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  7. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  8. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  9. Adhere to Department of Defense SkillBridge program guidelines and requirements.

Job Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: A Dod Skillbridge Field Service Diesel Technician At Cummins Must Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Diesel Engines, Components, And Systems, As Well As Strong Troubleshooting And Diagnostic Skills.

  • Military Experience: This Position Requires A Minimum Of 4 Years Of Military Experience As A Mechanic Or Technician In A Related Field. This Experience Provides A Strong Foundation For Working In A Fast-Paced And Challenging Environment.

  • Certifications: Candidates Should Have Relevant Certifications Such As Ase Or Oem Certifications, As Well As Any Military-Specific Certifications, To Demonstrate Their Knowledge And Expertise In The Field.

  • Communication Skills: In This Role, The Technician Will Be Working Directly With Customers And Cummins Team Members, So Strong Communication Skills Are Essential. This Includes The Ability To Explain Technical Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Dod Skillbridge Program Is Designed To Assist Transitioning Service Members In Gaining Civilian Work Experience, And The Field Service Diesel Technician Should Be Open To Learning New Skills And Adapting To New Environments. This Includes Being Willing To Travel And Work In Various Locations As Needed.
