
Operations Officer
Utilize international trade-specific procedures, rules, guidelines and regulations to perform all functions related to import letters of credit, export letters of credit, and sequential duties, i.e. process transactions for import issuance, amendment, documents examination, air releases, shipping guarantees, acceptances, and payments; for export advising, transfer letters of credit, assignment of proceeds, negotiations, usance discount etc. Monitor and update marine cargo insurance policies to ensure the coverage is appropriate and effective. Retrieve, create, send, and release messages using the SWIFT system in a timely manner. Prepare/Review sample language for standby letter of credit requests, distribute various monthly reports, and monitor SBLC with evergreen clause.
5+ years of trade operations experience required, experience in a commercial bank strongly preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and duties as assigned, prioritize in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
Ability to work independently and as well as a team player, be detail-oriented and analytical.
