Job Description

Welcome to Crown Castle International, a leading provider of shared communications infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced External Affairs Manager to join our dynamic team. As the External Affairs Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our relationships with external stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and industry partners. In this role, you will lead our efforts in advocating for policies and regulations that support our business goals and promote our company's values. We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic individual with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry.   1. Act as the primary point of contact for all external stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and industry partners.
  2. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to advance the company's interests and promote a positive image.
  3. Stay current on industry trends, policies, and regulations, and proactively identify opportunities and risks for the company.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement external affairs strategies that align with the company's business goals and values.
  5. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings with external stakeholders.
  6. Advocate for the company's interests and positions on policy and regulatory issues at the local, state, and federal level.
  7. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the company and develop strategies to address them.
  8. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other materials to effectively communicate the company's positions and messages to external stakeholders.
  9. Manage and track external affairs budget and expenses.
  10. Build and maintain a network of relationships with key influencers and decision-makers in the telecommunications industry and government.
  11. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on external affairs matters and help ensure alignment with company goals and values.
  12. Handle any crisis communications and public relations issues that may arise.
  13. Keep the company's executive team informed of external affairs activities and developments.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve external affairs strategies and tactics to support the company's objectives.
  15. Stay up-to-date on the company's projects, initiatives, and goals to effectively represent the company's interests to external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In External Affairs, Government Relations, Or Public Affairs.

  • Strong Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Government Processes And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated Ability To Develop And Implement Strategic External Affairs Plans And Initiatives.
