  1. Conduct financial audits for public sector clients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify any potential financial risks or discrepancies.
  2. Review and analyze financial statements, internal controls, and accounting systems to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for their financial needs.
  4. Lead and supervise audit teams, providing guidance and support to junior auditors and ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit projects.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and provide valuable insights to clients.
  6. Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings to clients and senior management.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax and consulting professionals, to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
  8. Mentor and train junior auditors to help develop their skills and knowledge in the public sector audit field.
  9. Identify opportunities to improve audit processes and procedures, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Represent the firm in a professional manner and promote a positive image of Crowe to clients and the public.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Audit Experience: A Senior Auditor At Crowe Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Conducting Audits For Public Sector Clients. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And Government Auditing Standards (Gas).

  • Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team Of Auditors. They Should Also Have Experience In Leading Complex Audit Engagements And Providing Guidance To Junior Team Members.

  • Public Sector Knowledge: A Senior Auditor Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Regulations That Apply To Public Sector Organizations. This Includes Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations, As Well As Industry-Specific Accounting Standards.

  • Communication And Client Management: The Role Requires Excellent Communication And Client Management Skills. The Senior Auditor Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Audit Findings To Clients And Provide Recommendations For Improvement.

  • Professional Certifications: Crowe Values Professional Certifications Such As Cpa, Cia, Or Cisa For This Role. These Certifications Demonstrate A Commitment To The Auditing Profession And A Strong Understanding Of Audit Principles And Best Practices.
