- Conducting thorough and accurate audits of public sector clients, including government agencies and non-profit organizations
- Leading and managing audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables
- Identifying and communicating potential risks and issues to the engagement team and clients
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication and excellent client service
- Staying up-to-date on industry and regulatory changes and incorporating them into audit plans and procedures
- Mentoring and training junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge in auditing and accounting
- Collaborating with other departments and teams within the firm to provide a comprehensive and integrated approach to client service
- Conducting research and analysis to effectively address complex accounting and auditing issues
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism and upholding the firm's ethical standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues
- Continuously seeking opportunities for professional development and growth within the firm.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Auditing Within The Public Sector, Preferably With A Big 4 Or Mid-Tier Accounting Firm.
Cpa Or Other Relevant Certification (E.g. Cia, Cfe) Preferred.
Strong Understanding Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap), Government Auditing Standards (Gas), And Federal Acquisition Regulations (Far).
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Lead A Team Effectively.
