- Operate various types of powered equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and inspections on equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Load and unload merchandise from trucks, trailers, and containers using powered equipment.
- Move and stack merchandise in designated areas according to company standards and procedures.
- Operate equipment in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep work area clean and organized, and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately counting and recording items moved using powered equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks and meet productivity goals.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and adhere to company guidelines.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge of powered equipment operation through training and development opportunities.
Experience Operating A Variety Of Power Equipment: A Qualified Power Equipment Operator At Costco Wholesale Should Have Experience Operating A Range Of Equipment Such As Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Reach Trucks.
Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: Costco Wholesale Places A High Priority On Safety, So A Power Equipment Operator Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols For Operating Various Equipment And Should Be Able To Adhere To Them At All Times.
Physical Fitness: This Job Requires Physical Strength And Stamina To Operate Heavy Equipment For Extended Periods Of Time. The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects Is Also Important.
