- Inventory Management: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for maintaining the pharmacy's inventory, ensuring that all medications are properly stocked and stored, and placing orders when necessary.
- Data Entry: Accurate and timely data entry is a crucial responsibility for this role. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for entering prescription information into the pharmacy system and maintaining electronic records.
- Insurance Processing: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for processing insurance claims and coordinating with insurance companies to ensure members receive the coverage they are entitled to.
- Adhering to Safety Protocols: It is the Pharmacy Technician's responsibility to follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Assisting the Pharmacist: The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with the Pharmacist to ensure smooth and efficient operations, including assisting with medication compounding, filling prescriptions, and providing support as needed.
- Training and Compliance: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for staying up-to-date with all relevant regulations and completing any required training to maintain compliance with state and federal laws.
- Troubleshooting: If any issues arise, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and finding solutions to ensure the pharmacy operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Teamwork: This role requires strong teamwork skills, including effective communication, collaboration, and support for fellow team members to provide the best possible care for Costco members.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Excellent Customer Service Skills And Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients And Healthcare Professionals
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws, Regulations, And Procedures
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Designation
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Retail Or Hospital Pharmacy Setting
