- Assist with prescription order processing, including inputting prescriptions into the computer system, filling medication orders, and labeling and packaging medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering their questions, and addressing any concerns or issues they may have.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regularly cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the accuracy and safety of medication orders.
- Comply with all pharmacy laws and regulations, including maintaining patient confidentiality and following proper storage and handling procedures for medications.
- Help manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and notifying management of any shortages or expired medications.
- Educate customers on medication usage, potential side effects, and any necessary precautions.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, insurance billing, and maintaining patient records.
- Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of current pharmacy practices and procedures.
- Participate in training and development opportunities provided by the company to enhance job performance and knowledge.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For A Pharmacy Technician Position At Costco Wholesale. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Is Able To Understand And Carry Out Instructions Effectively.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht): Costco Wholesale Prefers Candidates Who Are Certified By The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha). This Certification Demonstrates A Higher Level Of Knowledge And Proficiency In Pharmacy Operations.
Strong Customer Service Skills: As The First Point Of Contact For Customers, Pharmacy Technicians Need To Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Should Be Able To Provide Friendly And Efficient Service To Customers And Address Their Concerns With Empathy And Professionalism.
