Welcome to Costco Wholesale! We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Pharmacy Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Pharmacy Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members and promoting a positive image of our pharmacy department.   1. Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests of Costco Wholesale.
  2. Promote a positive image of the pharmacy department by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
  3. Assist in the sales and promotion of pharmacy products and services to meet departmental goals.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of all pharmacy products, services, and promotions to effectively assist members with their needs.
  5. Accurately and efficiently process transactions, including cash handling, insurance claims, and prescription orders.
  6. Ensure the pharmacy department is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
  7. Respond to member inquiries and concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
  8. Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  9. Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures, including proper handling and storage of medications.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall member experience.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of member information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  12. Keep up-to-date with changes in the pharmacy industry and participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with members, colleagues, and management.
  14. Display a strong understanding of healthcare and pharmacy terminology.
  15. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  16. Adhere to all safety and security protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  17. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving departmental processes.
  18. Other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Customer Service Experience: A Pharmacy Sales Assistant Must Possess Excellent Communication And People Skills In Order To Provide Exceptional Customer Service To Costco Members And Patients.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: This Includes Understanding Of Medication And Prescription Processes, As Well As Basic Knowledge Of Insurance And Billing Procedures.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Pharmacy Sales Assistant, Accuracy Is Crucial In Handling Prescription Orders And Maintaining Inventory Levels. Being Detail-Oriented Is Essential In Ensuring The Safety And Well-Being Of Costco Members.

  • Team Player: Working In A Pharmacy Requires Collaboration With Pharmacists And Other Pharmacy Staff. A Pharmacy Sales Assistant Should Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment And Be Willing To Assist Colleagues When Needed.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Pharmacy Industry Is Constantly Evolving And Requires Employees To Be Able To Adapt To Changes In Technology, Procedures, And Regulations. A Pharmacy Sales Assistant Should Be Willing To Learn And Adapt To These Changes In Order To Provide The Best Service To Costco Members.
