  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring efficient and effective functioning.
  2. Manage and lead a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as Costco's standards.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and ordering of medications and supplies to maintain adequate stock and minimize waste.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure timely processing of prescriptions and insurance claims.
  6. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members to promote professional growth and development.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient profiles, medication histories, and prescription information.
  8. Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  9. Stay informed about new medications, treatments, and technologies in the pharmacy industry and make recommendations for their implementation.
  10. Work closely with other departments within Costco to promote the pharmacy services and increase member satisfaction.
  11. Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Monitor budget and financial performance of the pharmacy department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving strategies.
  13. Stay up-to-date with changes and developments in the healthcare industry, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Inventory Management, Prescription Processing, And Compliance With State And Federal Regulations.

  • A Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution, Along With A Current State Pharmacy License.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Licensed Pharmacist, With At Least 2 Years In A Leadership Or Managerial Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team Of Pharmacists And Technicians.

  • Proficiency In Computer Systems And Software Used In Pharmacy Operations, Such As Electronic Health Records And Prescription Processing Software.
