Job Description

As a member of our team, you will oversee the daily operations of our busy pharmacy department, working closely with our team of pharmacists and technicians to ensure the highest level of care for our valued members. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team, with a strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including managing inventory, staffing, and workflow to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  2. Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality performance and job satisfaction.
  3. Monitor and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  4. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to pharmacy operations, such as prescription orders, inventory, and customer interactions.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and other external partners to enhance the pharmacy's services and offerings.
  6. Provide excellent customer service by addressing member inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in the pharmacy industry, and implement changes and improvements to enhance the department's operations.
  8. Collaborate with other departments within Costco to promote the pharmacy's services and increase customer satisfaction.
  9. Plan and organize staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
  10. Conduct performance evaluations, handle disciplinary actions, and make recommendations for promotions and training opportunities for team members.
  11. Ensure the pharmacy maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional work environment, fostering teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic among all staff members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Active And Unrestricted Pharmacist License In The State Of Employment.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Licensed Pharmacist, With At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Managerial Or Supervisory Role.

  • Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Pharmacists And Support Staff.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Stakeholders In A Professional And Courteous Manner.
