- Dispensing Medications: The primary responsibility of this position is to accurately dispense medications to Costco members in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Patient Counseling: The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing counseling and education to members regarding their medications, including dosage, potential side effects, and proper usage.
- Medication Management: The Pharmacist will be responsible for managing and monitoring members' medication therapy to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Inventory Management: This role involves overseeing the inventory of medications, ordering new supplies as needed, and maintaining accurate records of all medications.
- Maintain Compliance: The Pharmacist will ensure that all pharmacy operations are in compliance with state and federal laws, as well as Costco's policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: The Pharmacist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care for members and to address any medication-related concerns.
- Exceptional Customer Service: As a representative of Costco, the Pharmacist will provide exceptional customer service to members, addressing any questions or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Staff Management: The Pharmacist will oversee and mentor pharmacy technicians and other support staff, ensuring they are properly trained and providing guidance as needed.
- Stay Informed: This position requires staying up-to-date on new medications, treatments, and healthcare trends to provide the best possible care to members.
- Maintain Confidentiality: The Pharmacist will maintain strict confidentiality of member information and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Handle Multiple Tasks Efficiently.
Bachelor's Or Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree From An Accredited College Or University.
Active And Valid State License To Practice Pharmacy.
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Drugs, Their Uses And Potential Side Effects.
