- Provide exceptional customer service to Costco members by addressing their pharmacy-related inquiries and concerns.
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently according to state and federal laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to ensure safe and effective medication use for members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medications dispensed, as well as any interactions or contraindications.
- Monitor drug therapy, including dosing, effectiveness, and potential side effects, and make appropriate recommendations to healthcare providers and members.
- Educate members on proper medication use, storage, and potential side effects, as well as answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Process insurance claims and assist members with insurance-related issues, such as prior authorizations and formulary restrictions.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure proper storage and handling of medications to maintain their efficacy.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of pharmacy, including new medications, drug interactions, and best practices.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of pharmacy services at Costco.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
- Manage a team of pharmacy technicians and support staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations of the pharmacy department.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy manager and other department leaders to develop and implement strategies to improve member satisfaction and drive business growth.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, representing the values and mission of Costco Wholesale.
- Attend mandatory trainings and meetings to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and industry developments.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.
A Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited School Of Pharmacy.
A Valid State License To Practice Pharmacy.
Prior Experience Working In A Retail Or Clinical Pharmacy Setting.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Pharmacy Practice.
