  1. Provide expert pharmaceutical care to Costco Wholesale members.
  2. Dispense and accurately fill prescriptions according to state and federal regulations.
  3. Educate and counsel customers on proper usage and potential side effects of medications.
  4. Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) services to optimize patient outcomes.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication use.
  6. Maintain accurate and organized records of all prescriptions and patient information.
  7. Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards related to pharmacy practice.
  8. Stay updated on new medications, treatments, and industry developments to provide the best care.
  9. Act as a resource for all pharmacy-related inquiries from customers and team members.
  10. Participate in Costco Wholesale's community outreach programs to promote health and wellness.
  11. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of medications for customers.
  12. Train and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure they are following proper procedures.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to provide a safe and efficient working environment.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
  15. Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction and overall pharmacy performance.
  16. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and assist in creating and updating them as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy From An Accredited Institution: A Pharmacist At Costco Wholesale Is Required To Have A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy From An Accredited College Or University. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Carry Out Their Duties Effectively.

  • Active State Pharmacist License: A Valid And Active State Pharmacist License Is A Must-Have For Any Registered Pharmacist At Costco Wholesale. This License Is Obtained After Passing The North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (Naplex) And The Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (Mpje).

  • Experience In Retail Pharmacy: Costco Wholesale Is A Retail Store, So Experience In A Similar Setting Is Highly Preferred. This Includes Experience In Dispensing Medications, Counseling Patients, And Managing Inventory.

  • Strong Clinical Knowledge: As A Registered Pharmacist At Costco Wholesale, One Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Pharmaceuticals And Their Effects On The Human Body. This Includes Knowledge Of Drug Interactions, Side Effects, And Contraindications.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: Working With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals Requires Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills. A Registered Pharmacist At Costco Wholesale Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Medical Information To Patients And Provide Exceptional Customer Service.
