- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all Costco employees.
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure they are updated and accurate.
- Verify and calculate employee work hours, deductions, and taxes.
- Monitor and track employee time-off requests, sick leave, and vacation time.
- Collaborate with HR team to ensure employee information is up to date and accurate.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Generate payroll reports and provide analysis to management as needed.
- Participate in payroll audits and assist with the preparation of payroll-related documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and payroll records.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing.
Strong Knowledge Of Payroll Processes And Procedures: A Payroll Clerk At Costco Wholesale Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Different Payroll Processes, Including Calculating Wages, Taxes, And Deductions, And Complying With Legal Requirements.
Experience With Payroll Software And Systems: Costco Wholesale May Use Specific Payroll Software Or Systems For Managing Employee Data And Payroll Tasks. A Qualified Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Such Systems And Be Able To Adapt Quickly To New Software.
