- Accurately and efficiently pick and pack customer orders according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Inspect products for defects and damages before packaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and stack products.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to the appropriate supervisors.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Meet productivity and performance goals as set by the company.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operation and fulfillment of orders.
- Continuously identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and restocking products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including dress code and attendance guidelines.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Experience In Order Picking: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In A Warehouse Or Distribution Center Environment, Specifically In Order Picking. This Includes Knowledge Of Operating A Pallet Jack Or Forklift, As Well As Familiarity With Picking Orders Using A Handheld Scanner.
Physical Ability: The Job Of An Order Picker At Costco Wholesale Is Physically Demanding And Requires Candidates To Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Items Consistently Throughout Their Shift. Candidates Should Be Able To Lift Up To 50 Pounds And Stand For Long Periods Of Time.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In The Order Picking Process, As Mistakes Can Result In Incorrect Orders Being Shipped To Customers. Candidates Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Carefully Follow Instructions And Pick Orders Accurately.
Time Management Skills: The Ability To Work Efficiently And Manage Time Effectively Is Important For An Order Picker At Costco Wholesale. Candidates Should Be Able To Prioritize Tasks, Work Quickly And Accurately, And Meet Productivity Targets.
