- Oversee the development and maintenance of Costco's mobile applications, ensuring they meet high quality standards and are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Drive the overall strategy and execution of Costco's mobile engineering initiatives, including identifying new technologies and trends to enhance our mobile offerings.
- Manage and mentor a team of mobile engineers, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of mobile solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices in mobile development and engineering, and identify opportunities to incorporate them into our processes.
- Set and track performance metrics for the mobile engineering team, and implement measures to continuously improve team efficiency and productivity.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure smooth functioning of Costco's mobile applications.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to support the mobile development and engineering efforts.
- Participate in the recruiting and hiring process for the mobile engineering team, ensuring the team is staffed with top talent to deliver exceptional results.
- Maintain a strong commitment to innovation and technology, and continuously seek out opportunities to enhance Costco's mobile offerings.
Extensive Experience In Mobile Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Building And Managing Mobile Applications For Both Ios And Android Platforms. This Includes Experience With Programming Languages Such As Swift, Objective-C, Java, And Kotlin.
Strong Technical Background: A Manager Of Mobile Development & Engineering Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Software Development Principles And Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of Agile Methodologies, Software Design Patterns, And Experience Working With Large Codebases.
Team Leadership And Management Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Managing And Leading A Team Of Mobile Developers. This Includes Setting Goals, Providing Guidance And Support, Conducting Performance Evaluations, And Fostering A Positive And Collaborative Work Environment.
Project Management Experience: Costco Wholesale Operates At A Large Scale, And The Manager Of Mobile Development & Engineering Will Be Responsible For Overseeing Multiple Projects Simultaneously. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Experience Managing Complex Projects, Setting Timelines And Milestones, And Delivering Projects On Time And Within Budget.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Designers, Product Managers, And Other Engineering Teams.
