  1. Perform regular maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities, including but not limited to cleaning, repairing, and replacing parts as needed.
  2. Conduct routine inspections to identify and address any potential issues before they become major problems.
  3. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management and other team members.
  4. Work closely with other maintenance staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  5. Maintain detailed maintenance logs and records to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  8. Communicate with management regarding any necessary repairs or maintenance that may require outside assistance.
  9. Proactively identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and procedures.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to all Costco Wholesale team members and customers.
  11. Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
  12. Stay updated on industry best practices and new techniques in maintenance.
  13. Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience In General Maintenance Work: A Maintenance Assistant At Costco Wholesale Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In General Maintenance Work, Including Tasks Such As Repairing And Maintaining Equipment, Performing Basic Electrical And Plumbing Work, And Troubleshooting Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Regulations And Procedures: As A Maintenance Assistant, One Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Procedures To Ensure A Safe Working Environment For Both Employees And Customers. This Includes Knowledge Of Osha Guidelines And Proper Handling Of Hazardous Materials.

  • Basic Technical Skills: A Maintenance Assistant Should Possess Basic Technical Skills, Including The Ability To Use Tools And Equipment, Read And Interpret Technical Manuals, And Perform Routine Maintenance Tasks.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Role May Require Standing, Walking, Lifting, And Carrying Heavy Objects For Extended Periods Of Time. Therefore, A Maintenance Assistant Should Be Physically Fit And Have The Stamina To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: At Costco Wholesale, A Maintenance Assistant Will Be Working With A Team Of Other Maintenance Staff As Well As Interacting With Other Departments And Managers. Therefore, Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For This Role To Ensure Smooth Operations And Effective Problem-Solving.
