- Greet and welcome customers to the Costco Optical department with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Utilize strong knowledge of optometric principles to provide accurate and personalized eyewear solutions to customers.
- Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that meet their individual needs, style preferences, and budget.
- Perform accurate and detailed measurements to ensure proper fit and function of eyewear.
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the optical industry.
- Process eyewear orders accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the optical team to ensure smooth and timely delivery of eyewear.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Adhere to Costco's high standards for quality and customer service.
- Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Stay compliant with all state and federal laws and regulations regarding optical services.
- Attend training and development sessions to stay current on products, services, and procedures.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
State Licensure: A Valid And Current License As An Optician In The State Where The Costco Location Is Located.
Optical Experience: Previous Experience Working As An Optician, Preferably In A Retail Or Wholesale Setting.
Knowledge Of Optical Equipment: Familiarity With Optical Equipment Such As Lensometers, Refractors, And Computerized Lens Surfacing Machines.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent Customer Service Skills And The Ability To Provide A Positive Shopping Experience For Costco Members.
Attention To Detail: Strong Attention To Detail And The Ability To Accurately Measure And Fit Eyewear To Ensure Optimal Vision Correction For Customers.
