- Provide exceptional customer service to all Costco members and guests.
- Utilize knowledge and expertise in optometry to assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear.
- Conduct thorough and accurate eye exams and prescriptions for Costco members.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current industry trends and products.
- Keep accurate and organized records of customer orders and prescriptions.
- Collaborate with other Costco team members to ensure a seamless and efficient customer experience.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding eyewear sales and services.
- Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales targets and goals.
- Communicate effectively with customers to address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Stay up-to-date on all Costco membership benefits and promotions to effectively communicate them to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning and sanitizing eyewear equipment and frames.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations when handling and dispensing eyewear.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members, including training and mentoring.

- Represent Costco in a positive and professional manner at all times.
State Licensure: A Valid License To Practice As An Optician In The State Where Costco Wholesale Operates Is A Must-Have Qualification For This Position.
Education And Training: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Role, With Additional Training In Opticianry From An Accredited Program. Candidates With An Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In Opticianry Or A Related Field Will Be Given Preference.
Experience: Previous Experience As A Licensed Optician, Preferably In A Retail Or Wholesale Environment, Is Highly Desirable For This Job. Experience With Fitting And Dispensing Eyewear, As Well As Knowledge Of Different Types Of Lenses And Frames, Is Essential.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent Customer Service Skills Are A Must For This Position, As Licensed Opticians At Costco Wholesale Are Expected To Provide Exceptional Service To Members. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Customers, Understand Their Needs, And Provide Appropriate Solutions.
Team Player: Costco Wholesale Values Teamwork And Collaboration, And Licensed Opticians Are Expected To Work Well With Others In A Fast-Paced Retail Environment. They Should Be Able To Work Closely With The Optical Team, As Well As Other Departments, To Ensure A Seamless And Efficient Experience For Members.
