- Provide exceptional customer service to all members, including greeting and assisting them in selecting eyewear and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Utilize your extensive knowledge of eyewear and vision care to provide expert recommendations and guidance to members.
- Use state-of-the-art equipment to conduct accurate and efficient eye exams and measurements for members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in eyewear and vision care to ensure the best possible service and product offerings for our members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all eyewear displays and products are well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Process and fulfill eyewear orders accurately and in a timely manner, including verifying prescriptions, adjusting frames, and ensuring proper fit.
- Collaborate with other team members, including optometrists and optical technicians, to provide comprehensive and personalized eye care services to members.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations regarding the sale and dispensing of eyewear and vision care services.
- Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and metrics, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Seek opportunities for professional development and growth, including attending trainings and staying informed about new products and techniques in the field of opticianry.
State Licensure: A Valid State License As An Optician Is A Mandatory Qualification For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Is Knowledgeable About The Laws And Regulations Related To The Sale Of Eyewear.
Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Licensed Optician Is Required For This Role. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Solid Understanding Of The Optical Industry, Is Familiar With Different Types Of Lenses And Frames, And Has Experience In Providing Excellent Customer Service.
Technical Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Technical Skills, Including The Ability To Perform Accurate Measurements, Adjust Frames, And Troubleshoot Any Issues With Lenses Or Frames. Familiarity With Different Types Of Optical Equipment And Software Is Also Desirable.
Sales And Customer Service Experience: As Costco Wholesale Is Known For Its Exceptional Customer Service, Candidates With Prior Experience In Sales And Customer Service Will Be Preferred. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Effectively, Build Rapport With Customers, And Make Appropriate Product Recommendations.
