  1. Dispense and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses to customers according to their prescriptions and needs.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  3. Help customers select frames and lenses based on their preferences and lifestyle needs.
  4. Measure and adjust frames to ensure proper fit and comfort for customers.
  5. Educate customers on proper care and maintenance of their eyewear.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current trends and new products in the optical industry to make informed recommendations to customers.
  7. Process and track orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses.
  8. Maintain accurate and organized records of customer transactions and prescriptions.
  9. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the optical department.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including display cases and inventory.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to opticianry.
  12. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and provide excellent overall customer experience.
  13. Attend training and development programs to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  14. Handle customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  15. Uphold and promote the company's values, mission, and vision.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid State License: A Licensed Optician At Costco Wholesale Must Hold A Current And Valid State License To Practice Opticianry. This Ensures That They Have Met The Necessary Education And Training Requirements And Are Qualified To Provide Optical Services To Customers.

  • Optical Dispensing Experience: Costco Wholesale Prefers Candidates With Previous Experience In Optical Dispensing. This Includes Knowledge Of Lens And Frame Selection, Fitting And Adjusting Eyewear, And Understanding Of Prescription Eyewear.
