  1. Conduct hearing assessments to determine the extent of hearing loss and recommend appropriate hearing aid solutions for members.
  2. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in hearing aid technology and industry developments.
  3. Maintain accurate records of member consultations, hearing aid fittings, and follow-up appointments.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from members and ensuring their satisfaction with their hearing aids.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes for members.
  6. Follow all state and federal regulations and guidelines for hearing aid dispensing.
  7. Educate members on the proper use and maintenance of their hearing aids.
  8. Assist with inventory management and ordering of hearing aid supplies.
  9. Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
  10. Maintain a professional and caring attitude towards all members, promoting a positive and welcoming environment.
  11. Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing insurance claims.
  12. Adhere to Costco's policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  13. Contribute to the overall success of the hearing aid department by meeting sales goals and promoting the Costco brand.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for growth and improvement within the role and the company.

Job Qualifications

  • State Licensure: A Valid And Active License As A Hearing Aid Dispenser In The State Where The Costco Location Is Located Is Required.

  • Education And Training: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, With Preference Given To Candidates Who Have Completed A Formal Education Program In Hearing Aid Dispensing. Additional Training And Certification Through Recognized Organizations Such As The International Hearing Society May Also Be Required.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Hearing Aid Dispenser Is Preferred. This Experience Should Include Fitting, Adjusting, And Repairing Hearing Aids, As Well As Excellent Customer Service Skills.

  • Knowledge Of Hearing Aid Technology: A Thorough Understanding Of Different Types Of Hearing Aids And Their Technology Is Necessary To Effectively Assist Customers In Selecting The Right Hearing Aid For Their Needs. Knowledge Of The Latest Advancements In Hearing Aid Technology Is Also Important.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser, You Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Customers To Understand Their Hearing Needs And Provide Appropriate Solutions. Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role.
